Airway: Sounds like your son is in respiratory distress and on his way to sleep apnea. He's a year overdue for his first examination by a Specialist Orthodontist. I suspect he may have a narrow palate/nasal floor and possible enlarged tonsils/adenoids and will also need an examination by a specialist ENT. Easy to treat now, harder later. See an Orthodontist.
