How often are BMs?: This depends on exactly what is meant by difficulty. Newborns often look like they're having difficulty having a BM because their abdominal muscles aren't well developed and they may turn red in the face when having a BM. If the BM's are soft and at least every 1-2 days and he/she is drinking well, try not to worry. If they are hard and less frequent, please discuss with your baby's doctor.
