See an Orthodontist: A local orthodontist can evaluate your son's occlusion and recommend treatment. There are appliances that can be fabricated to break him of this habit. Treatment can then be rendered to straighten out his malpositioned teeth.

Age: Depending on. his age, have his occlusion and habit evaluated by a Pedodontist (before 7), or an Orthodontist (7 and above. Practitioner may be able to provide a behavior modification appliance to help eliminate his pernicious habit.
