Kidney stone: The pain of a stone moving from the kidney to the bladder through the ureter (tube) is very painful when the stone is moving. If it stops along its course, the pain can improve until the stone moves again and then the pain returns. LOTS of water helps flush the system and move the stone along. To be sure,a urine test and visit with your doc can clarify.
