Eye exam: I would encourage you to actually see an Ophthalmologist who can examine your eye to determine if you are a candidate for another surgery.

Not necessary: During a full thickness or a lamellar corneal transplant only the center portion is replaced as that is the area you see through. There is no need to remove the entire peripheral cornea which would, by the way, increase the risk of rejection.
