Prescription: I don't know what country you are in. That varies. Was it an e-prescription or a prescription phoned in by doctor at the time of the visit ? That can be very fast. The best thing to do is call the pharmacy to see if they have your prescription & to ask when it can be picked up.

From minutes: To mistakes or misunderstandings. Most prescriptions are sent in electronically and they take minutes. The pharmacy may need up to few hours to prepare the prescription, providing they have the drug available in store, otherwise may take up to few days as they have to order it. Sometimes prescription may go to the wrong pharmacy or not being sent in at all for different reasons.Call pharmacy first
