Some like ice: Chilling down the blisters with ice chips or popsicles slows the pain messages the nerves send up to her brain. It may last long enough to help her eat a bit. It also helps the problem without any aftertaste or side effects. Avoiding acidic fruit drinks(orange, tomatoe, grapefruit)helps while neutral drinks like fruit necters, grape juice & milk are better tolerated.
