Constipation/rash: Constipation in children is easily treatable with a couple of ounces of apple, pear or prune juice daily. (surprisingly apple sauce and whole prunes can cause constipation). As for the rash (redness), apply diaper ointment to protect the skin from acidic urine and the bacteria in stool. If the redness progresses or becomes discrete red dots, use an OTC yeast infection cream with the diaper cream.
