Syphilis blood test: Most labs automatically do follow-up testing to confirm whetehr a positive initial result is true or false. Discuss with your doctor: she may already have the answer. (If you have no symptoms and have not been at high risk for syphilis, probably you'll learn that the initial positive result is not confirmed and you don't have it.) Good lucik.

Confirmation test: Agree with Dr. Handsfield . You can discuss this with the original provider who ordered the test. It is likely that a confirmation test was done (I am assuming you are in USA).
