Use pain medication.: You did not describe the nature of the chest pain that would have helped pinpoint the likely cause. It may just be in the chest wall from strain rather than COVID 19. Pain medication may help since the age range makes heart disease less likely. If she does not have shortness of breadth I would not worry, rest and pain medication may help.

COVID testing: Only chest pain with no -other symptoms? Acetaminophen or NSAID's may help if it appears to be musculoskeletal. COVID 19 sx’s: dry cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, nasal congestion, fever, headache, sore throat, feeling tired, loss of sense of taste/smell, decreased appetite, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, chills & muscle aches.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Chest pain may be as simple as injury to chest wall to heart attack. It would be prudent to consult your doctor by phone to see if a more detailed evaluation is warranted. Wish you and your wife good health!
