Paxil (paroxetine): 1 is ssri and 1 is snri. Your prescribing doctor would be the best to consult.

No: Paxil increase serotonin, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) increase serotonin and norepinephrine. You can overload on serotonin and have a severe and life threatening reaction called serotonin syndrome.
