COVID concerns: Rest, hydrate, quarantine & eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion. This could be a number of types of infection. Maybe your area only has tests available for high risk patients???

Antibiotics address bacterial infections. Viral infections such as Covid, Flu, Common cold, HIV, require antiviral medications, hydration, fever reducing OTC's, rest, isolation. Every location has different rules for testing. Follow your Physician's recommendations. As it's been a week it may be time to call your GP again and give him/her an update.
