I was standing next to a person who got his covid 19 results the next day which indicated he was positive. he was wearing a mask and i was wearing a mask. what are my chances of contracting the virus?

Little or no risk: Doctors and other health care providers for COVID-19 patients are almost never infected if both they and the patient are wearing masks. And that's with prolonged contact, doing physical exams, etc. With this kind of exposure, your risk is every low. Check with your doctor or local public health to see if you qualify for testing, but probably not unless you develop symptoms yourself.

COVID concerns: Wearing masks reduces risk. How close was contact? Less than 6 feet apart? Person appear ill at the time? Outdoors or in poorly ventilated, crowded tight space? Less than 10 minutes? Did he sneeze or cough?
