Testing: I am a practicing ER physician, so I am swabbing people for COVID daily. I have not had symptoms as such personally I feel no compulsion to get tested. Purpose for testing is to do an action. So my answer is if no symptoms no need for testing. However, some people like to know there status or your community or work likes to know.. That varies from community. So check with your Heath department.

COVID-19: I would get tested so you know whether or not you should isolate yourself. You should also wear a mask and practice social distancing when you are around family members. Limiting your contact with them would be ideal if it is practical for you to do so. If you develop symptoms you should seek medical attention.
