Don't know: Was this a burn from skin touching hot portion of motorcycle, sunburn or road rash from falling & scraping skin? Is burn red, warm, more tender? Is there swelling in surronding tissues? Purulent drainage? Do you have a fever? If you answered yes to many of these questions - you may have an infection that required medical attention. When was your last tetanus shot?
