Penis burning: The most common cause of burning sensation on the penis is herpes. This should be accompanied by small (2-3 mm) little blisters, which open and turn into small sores. Other causes include chemical (e.g. Soap, creams, other cleaning products), latex allergy (if you use latex condums). The flu-like symptoms could possibly be part of an initial (primary) herpes infection, but this is rare in men.
