Hi, i have pain on rib cage. i did physical exam, was told i had inflammation. xrays & blood test came negative. i feel pain main in morning when waking up & when breathing deep. was told to drink water, pain still there. could i have rib infection?

Musculoskeletal: The condition may be related to musculoskeletal inflammation. Local heat and NSAID treatment may be helpful. If there is one area that is tender, an imaging study is indicated.
