Pepto Bismal: Pepto Bismal can certainly lead to more dense stools. When you pass more dense stools for long periods you can develop hemorrhoids which are usually painful as well. If you are having blood in your stools without any pain, I would recommend seeking GI consultation. Very low risk of cancer or malignancy at your age, but this could be a sign of an inflammatory bowel disease.
