A member asked:

Had a ureteroscopy for a kidney stone removal and the urologist perforated the ureter (near the right kidney), next day had an emergency surgery to sew up the perforations, currently with a catheter inside for 6 weeks, risk factors of this perforatio?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stenosis: The scarring from healing of the perforation site may result in narrowing of the ureter. However, your doctor should be able to address that. Wish you good health!
