I get this pulling pain in my upper abdomen, comes suddenly and lasts for a few minutes then it won't return for days or even weeks. when it strikes, i need to stand still or even sit down as sometimes i feel dizzy.

Pulling pains : Recurrent or spasmodic pains in that area may be abdominal muscle spasms or pylorospasm which occurs in the outlet of the stomach. Since you have no symptoms.between these episodes, I doubt other pathology. Nevertheless it these spasms continue to occur, I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist.
