Evaluation: More details would be helpful. If the pain is on the rib cage itself, musculo-skeletal pain may be the cause. Local heat and Motrin may relieve the pain. If the pain is below the ribcage, sources of the pain may include liver, gastric and splenic disease Ruling out gallbladder disease and screening labs are suggested. Please drink fluids, monitor your temperature and rest until seen. Check temp.
