Dermatitis: This could be atopic dermatitis (eczema) or a contact dermatitis, or just very dry skin. Keep track of any clothing, lotions, soaps, shampoos, other substances that he might be in contact with during the winter, but not other times or that are new. Use unscented moisturizers daily and bathe less frequently as that may dry skin more. Call your doctor to be seen if not improving or if worsening.
