See Dr/Podiatrist: See a Dr or Podiatrist. It sounds like you have a localized skin infection called Cellulitis. This infection, caused by bacteria, is what is causing the pus and if left untreated, it can spread. Your Dr/Podiatrist may prescribe antibiotics and warm salt water soaks to kill the infection and ease the swelling.
