Why do i have this little lump type thing on top of my legs in my buttocks area? its kind of raised up, thought it was an infection but it wont go away. can that be cancer? or just a cyst, had it for a while, stays the same size all the time,so why?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, examination and may be some tests. From what you described it may be a pilo-nidal cyst and it can get infected. It would be prudent to see your doctor.
