A member asked:

I wonder if you have any suggestions for anxiety and exhaustion after years of care providing 24/7? aka caregiver burn out...

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Support group: My advice would be to get counseling from a therapist to deal the stress and anxiety associated with caregiver burnout. It can help tremendously. There are online support groups as well. Finally, enroll family and friends to give you breaks - it's sometimes hard to give up control (it can provoke more anxiety), but allow others to give you me-time by helping out with the caregiving.
