My 8 months old baby has fever and coughing not so much though. i first gave her panado which now she refuses to take, i then gave her empaped she cooled off. i'm really nervous because of this pandemic, could it be covid-19 related ?

Yes, it could: I would have her checked. The virus is usually not so bad in children, but in some it could be. And she could have something else entirely. If she is having fever and you cannot keep it down you really must have her seen. Meanwhile, get any liquid into her that you can, and sponge bath if she starts getting fever again.

Evaluation: The source of the fever should be further evaluated if it has occurred in particular for more than 24 hours. Keep your baby well hydrated and offer clear fluids. Nasal saline and removing mucus from the nose, cool air mist humidification may help the cough. Viral or bacterial causes should be considered.
