A member asked:

If a pumice stone is used daily, how long would it take for hair to be removed and would it also remove the black spots associated with shaving?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hmmm...: A pumice stone scratches off the upper layer of dead skin cells, but use it too often or too vigorously and one will scratch off the upper layer of live skin cells too. That would lead to inflammation (irritation and redness), which in turn could cause splotchy skin with hyperpigmentation (dark spots). Maybe that pumice stone isn't such a good idea.
