Allergies: Does you child suffer from allergies? Dust, pollen and even domestic animals can cause allergic reactions causing eyes to be swollen and red, and nasal stuffiness. She may even be allergic to fabric softener or other additives in the sheets. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is safe to give toddlers for allergies. See you Dr if the swelling increases or affects her tongue/lips.
