Chronic stool rtn: Stool retention is a common problem of childhood that may become evident as soon as a child develops some control of the emptying process.A stool mass presents to the emptying chamber releasing a message to the brain that may allow release of the material or retain it.If the kid ever holds it too often, he looses sensitivity as well as causing ballooning of the lg bowel. It can take a yr + to fix

Night wetting: Nighttime wetting can be normal until puberty. However, the stool control is more of a problem. This happens when stools are held too long, which then expands the area where stool collects, leading to not feeling the urge to have a BM.The 2 issues may or may not be connected, especially if the urine issue is only at night. Please speak to his doctor for specific advise on how to resolve this.
