You may be feeling: ..peristalsis. This is the squeezing of the muscle of the bowel as it pushes food along your digestive tract. Excessive peristalsis can cause diarrhea, frequent BM's, pain & nausea. Irritable bowel (spastic colon) can cause it, but so can anything that causes inflammation or irritation of the bowel.
