Hair loss: You should have your thyroid blood tests checked. A condition called seborrheic dermatitis is sometimes associated with hair loss, so it might be a good idea to see a Dermatologist.

Many causes: Itchy, flaky and dry scalp with hair thinning and breakage can be caused by a variety of conditions or infections: Atopic Dermatitis, Scalp Psoriasis, Ringworm, Lice, Seborrheic Dermatitis to name a few. A Dr can examine your scalp and determine which underlying problem is causing your symptoms and suggest/prescribe a treatment.
