I never had problems with hair loss prior. my scalp is always really itchy. i have noticed a few wringworm-like sores near my edges. i have dreadlocks so some have thinned out and started to snap off. what do i do?

Hair/scalp issues: Pleas see a skin specialist, a Dermatologist. You seem to have chronic issues as well as some acute problems. May be separate but concurrent issues, or one problem that is getting worse. Please seek professional care.
