C-section: C-sections are usually only done if there is a medical reason for doing so. If a C-section is indicated and there is not evidence of fatal distress or problems based on ultrasounds and fetal monitoring, a C-section can be done but it's best to wait until after 38 weeks to do an elective C-section to ensure fetal maturity.
