First things first: If you are experiencing bleeding gums, bad breath, red gums you'll need to treat those issues first. Visit a dentist to be examined and treatment planned. A mouth must be healthy to even consider placing a dental implant for your missing tooth. Failure to treat the gingival inflammation can result in loss of more teeth.

Implants or Bridge: A dental implant is considered standard of care. But, they can be expensive, they depend on the location in your mouth and the "quality" of bone. An alternative is bridge work. But to do that you'd need to involve 1 or more teeth near the void. Best to talk to your dentist ou r ask a few friends. Just go to someone who has done a lot of implants and restorations on them.

Missing tooth: Before considering repairing the superstructure (teeth), the foundation (gums/bone) has to be made sound. No matter how good you think your hygiene is, your description of your gum problems indicate gum disease. Please see a Dentist yesterday rather than tomorrow to deal with your chronic infection before you loose more teeth. The longer you wait, the more difficult the Rx, the greater the cost.
