Cramps: If you have the urge to move your bowels but can't, work from below by inserting a glycerin rectal suppository or dulcolax suppository. If no results apply a fleets enema. If cramps persist and no bowel movement,you'll have to be examined for fecal impaction or other causes of incomplete intestinal obstruction. This would be best done in the hospital emergency room.
