Fainting spell: It is important to remember that the Emergency Room is for emergencies. They make sure that you are well-enough to be discharged (or otherwise you usually get admitted). The ER sometimes needs to do very big workups to insure that a patient is safe. However, they often don't do comprehensive workups if the person is doing alright, and leave that to the person's primary doctor.
