Panic attacks: Start with a general evaluation by your PCP to rule out specific causes of your symptoms such as an overactive thyroid gland. Make sure you aren't abusing alcohol or other substances. Practice good brain health practices like eating a healthy whole foods diet and regular exercise. Meditation and biofeedback can also be helpful. If your anxiety persists, consult with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
