Cardiologist: Consult a cardiologist for treatment and follow-up of this severe hypertension. Whether you've had chronic, long-standing high blood pressure, preeclampsia with protein in your urine or the rarer postpartum eclampsia with proteinuria , you will need treatment with a diuretic and most likely 2 additional antihypertensive medications at your current level of BP to bring it under control.
