Is there anyway i can help my baby avoid jaundice?

Yes: This happens when the mom's blood type and the baby's blood type are different. Feeding as much as possible and keeping the baby well hydrated will help.

No: Jaundice in the newborn occurs for many reasons, most of them are harmless. It depends on the type of jaundice and duration as to whether a more serious reason exists for the jaundice. There is no way to prevent these, and only a doctor can determine the best evaluation and treatment for your baby's jaundice.
