What re the dangers of jaundice in an infant?

Kernicterus: By far, most infants with jaundice are fine and get over it without difficulty. If, however, it gets really severe, the infant can get something called kernicterus, which refers to yellow staining of the brain, and leads to severe, lifelong physical problems.
