A member asked:

I am allergic to cortisone - are there other options that can be used?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Odd post: The human body makes the equivalent of hydrocortizone every day as a stress hormone. As such you cannot be allergic to it. If anything the various therapeutic forms are used to help treat allergic reactions. You may have had an unusual reaction to any medication used as a mixture & some topical creams/lotions have additives you could be allergic to.Please clarify this with your doc.
