A member asked:

Would floating poop from malabsorption stay floating? ive been having poop that floats at first but slowly sinks. its formed but when i flush it breaks apart. could this just be a digestive upset?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually: Malabsorbtion of fats results in poop that floats (consistently) Transient floating may just reflect retained bowel gas.
