I hear that people with obesity more at risk of developing serious respiratory illness. why is this? should i be worried about covid if i am overweight?

COVID 19: One reason is that "the majority of patients with obesity have at least one obesity-related comorbidity, & type 2 diabetes &cardiovascular disease are among the most common."
