Most of the Covid strains currently causing outbreaks do not seem to be causing severe disease. But, obesity is considered a risk factor for the development of more severe disease, if you were to get Covid. So, if you test positive for Covid, you should call your doctor to see if treatment with an antiviral should be given. Your doctor knows your individual situation best and can best advise you.
