My son has told to patch each eye. why would he not be told to patch only his strong eye (to help out the weaker, worse eye)?

Alternate patch: The body will choose the stronger eye to the detriment of the weaker one, that is why he was asked to,patch the stronger one. This allows the weaker eye to become stronger. Some suggest alternating the patch to avoid weakening the stronger eye, but do discuss this with Your sons prescriber. Good luck
