A member asked:

Would it be advisable to work at a nursery school if you have had pleurisy and have allergic asthma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Choice is yours: Pleurisy is a transient symptom triggered by some infectious or other agents but in general is not considered a chronic illness. Allergic asthma is either controlled or not based on current management. A nursery school will expose you to a variety of childhood illnesses, many of which you has & are immune but neither issue makes you at special risk as a child care worker.
