Dermatitis: dermatitis in a newborn can be hormonal (seborrheic dermatitis-the moms hormones are still circulating in the baby's bloodstream) or it can mean that the baby is allergic to something coming into contact with its skin. (shampoo, body lotion, detergent in towels/sheets, even moms deodorant can cause allergic reactions). Try removing these one by one to see what helps.
