Tongue pain: May be due to viral or bacterial infection, trauma, allergic reaction, or so many other issues. Seek examination by your Dentist.

TONGUE DIAGNOSIS: The tongue can tell dentists or other practitioners many things about your body and health. Few dentists are trained in "tongue diagnosis", as not many take this type of training. Problem with tongue's surface may be related to nutritional deficiency besides trauma, acid reflux, or other factors. If your dentist cannot find a solution, consulting an integrative medical doctor can be helpful.
