Probably: It appears you chemically burned your taste buds with the peroxide, which should not be used as a mouthwash. Painful gingiva should be evaluated by a dentist... you're most likely overdue for a good, thorough, professional cleaning. There's no substitute for professional treatment.

Chemical burn: You may have a peroxide chemical burn. hopefully in time your sense of taste will return fully. As you've learned Peroxide will not cure gum disease. You have to start with a professional cleaning. Sounds like your very overdue. Please schedule an examination/cleaning with a local Dentist, then decide what additional treatments may be required.
