COVID 19: I am not sure which state you are in - because each has different protocols. You don't need a doctor's order to get tested where I am. There are no special medications that you need. Do encourage testing. The CDC has provided guidelines for COVID 19 testing at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/hcp/clinical-criteria.html. However, can contact state or local health departments/ providers.

Test/isolate: You as well as others in contact with your cousin, including her baby, should be screened for SARS CoV 2. The PCR test may remain positive for some time, but the culture of live virus is usually only positive for around two weeks. Stay home, avoid contact with others, rest and drink fluids. Watch for flu like symptoms, including fever and cough. If these occur, please see your PCP.
